How Dana Altman Measures Summer Progress on The Gun
Looking for a competitive summer shooting drill to challenge your team? Oregon Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dana Altman shares a powerful way to test and track your players’ growth using The Gun 12K basketball shooting machine.
Track Progress All Summer Long
With the Gun 12K, players receive passes to 7 key shooting locations: corners, wings, slots, and the top of the key. They’ll take 7 shots per spot—a total of 49 shots per session.
This 49-shot challenge is perfect for individual workouts, team practices, or summer open gyms.
Scoring Goals:
40+ Makes = ELITE
35–40 Makes = On Track
34 or Less = Needs More Work on The Gun
The clear benchmarks motivate players to improve and give coaches an easy way to measure development week to week.
